almost a month

its nearing the end of FEB and here's my first post of the month.  but i'm back, which is the important thing (i'm hoping you agree).  in the photo we have a shot of New Orleans at dusk.  its been very warm here since Mardi Gras wrapped up.
lots to talk about and since that is the case ... i'm going to end this "first post back" right here.  things to come (now that i have home internet service again) ::
-getting this blog back to its original sports basis
- a "launching" (launching seems like overkill for something so easy) of a sister blog possibly titled "Random Zombies" that will deal with any all randomness seen here in the City of New Orleans, on TV, and in dreams/visions.  think of it as a more abstract and poetry-laced blog which is something that this blog was becoming.  back to the nuts and bolts here at "Onions and Oranges": sports! (what else conjures up images of the modern sporting world quite so well as onions and oranges themselves?).
-finally, the move back down south and trying to live in an increasingly broke America (as in "nothing in our coffers, nothing in our pockets").

NOTE: also coming soon, less doom and gloom (financially speaking, that's what the TV guys and newspaper writers are for).  not that the money situation is rosy but - and i speak as a citizen of New Orleans again - if you were poor before ... you'll still be poor.
ah, but rich in spirit (hopefully) (we all try our best).
