Let's Do This! Fire up the Fire Machines! (Atlantic Division)

NBA Run Down!  (done entirely too late and with my usual lack of CAPITAL LETTERS)>>
The East - Atlantic Division
BOSTON CELTICS: (how's that for some Capital Letters?) - i hate the Celts.  KG is over-rated (say hello to Mr.4 rings Tim Duncan, Kev).  and Doc Rivers sucks.  on the positive side i like Rondo and think he'll be valuable as a backup PG in Fantasy Drafts.  that's right, FANTASY.  all that being said i had to eat some crow watching Boston roll to the best record in the NBA.  then the Hawks take them to 7 games in round one?  and now the Cavs are threatening to shut them down? (series at 2-2 as of this post).  seriously, think about that.  Cleveland and Atlanta.  does anybody remember last year's Finals?  4-0 to the Spurs and nothing about that Series was even close.  i believe it was Game 3 when SA pretty much slipped in the choke-hold.  and yes that was an MMA reference.  call San Antonio. Anderson Silva and Cleveland, whoever is unfortunate to have to fight Silva.
back to the Celts.  PP had a great year but in the playoffs ... ??  enough Boston talk, they get entirely too much coverage as it.
NEW JERSEY NETS: um, Devin Harris looks like a nice Fantasy PG.  other than that who cares about this team?  i think everybody is just waiting until they move to Brooklyn in a couple of years.  Kidd couldn't wait so he went to Texas.  i would say something about Vince Carter but, meh.
NEW YORK KNICKS: first off i hate the Knicks (been using the word 'hate' a lot but i'll get to the love, don't worry).  i've been in NYC for 3 years and been watching this Isiah Thomas mess with revulsion, shame, and secret giddiness.  what a freaking mess.  now they have Mike D as coach.  that's good (not for Mike D) (good for his bank account though).  good for Crawford and Nate Rob to launch ill-advised shot after ill-advised shot.  i don't really want to get into the hypotheticals of the future of the Knicks and i'm sick of the past.  so let's just say that the Knicks of the last few years will go down as one of the worst teams in pro sports history (fat contracts for fat players included).
PHILLY SIXERS: i like the Sixers.  i like Cheeks and Miller.  i even like me some Dalembert and the assembled youngsters with hops (Williams, Young).  and they got A.I.2.  but he's been a little less than the spectacular that was expected.  everything besides Iguodala was "eceeding expectations".  it would have been nice for them to show up a bit more in the playoffs but at least things don't totally suck in Philly.  in the little game bits i caught this year i would have liked to see Iguodala not isolate so much with his dribble.  that's Miller's job.  he's the PG, he's the main dribbler.
TORONTO RAPTORS: interesting team.  lots of European players and the big Texan in the middle with the baby dreads.  but they seem soft.  and Bargnani sucked (i drafted him way too high in Fantasy ... which is something i don't recommend ... drafted Andrea at all).  Calderon made the leap and TJ is the odd man out in everybody's eyes but the Raps themselves.  oh, and Jamario Moon.  love me the Moon.  who else they got?  i always forget.  smart red uniforms though.
